Crossing into the city of no faces is a multifaceted project that draws on the parallels between the macro and the micro world. Migrating bodies, migration inside the body and cells transgress borders. A mother hides her embryo in order to cross to another world, while within her blood stream, cells from her fetus are moving around her organs. The fable takes as its backdrop the migration of cells between the embryo and the mother during pregnancy, organisms that can transgress borders, transform into ‘revolutionary cells’ or ‘terrorist cells’ across breeding grounds, and recuperate their agency. Frontiers become porous. Boundaries get blurred between what constitutes oneness and otherness.
Crossing into the city of no faces est un projet à plusieurs volets, s'appuyant sur les parallèles entre le micro et le macro. Les corps en migration, les migrations à l'intérieur du corps et les cellules transgressent les frontières. Une mère cache son embryon pour franchir un autre monde, tandis qu'à l'intérieur de son flux sanguin, les cellules de son fœtus se faufilent dans ses organes. La fable a pour toile de fond la migration des cellules entre l'embryon et la mère pendant la grossesse, des organismes qui peuvent transgresser les frontières, se transformer en « révolutionnaires » ou « terroristes » et récupérer leur agentivité. Les limites deviennent floues. Les frontières deviennent poreuses.
